Tanya Harvey Achieves the Stop Sign Award
Attended and endorsed by Richmark Holdings CEO Gavin Varejes, the CEO SleepOut™ has made a huge difference in the lives of people who are vulnerable and destitute. CEO SleepOut™ was started as an international humanitarian initiative with the goal of encouraging influential people and business leaders to experience the harshness of sleeping outdoors for a night in the heart of winter.
Launching SheEO SleepOut™
In 2017 a special chapter of the initiative was launched. It was called SheEO SleepOut™ and is aimed at South African women who are considered as inspirational. After participating in the CEO SleepOut™ in 2016, Gavin Varejes nominated Tanya Harvey, Richmark Holdings’ Head of Marketing and Events to take part in SheEO SleepOut™. As can be expected of a Richmark employee, Harvey stepped up and accepted the challenge of not only raising money for the Doors of Hope, a shelter that caters for abandoned and vulnerable youths, but also to spend a night outside, vulnerable to the elements.
A Victorious Harvey Thanks Gavin Varejes and Richmark
After successfully taking part in the SheEO SleepOut™, Tanya Harvey was nominated as the Leading Agent of Change after the SleepOut™ and was awarded the Stop Sign Award for her valuable contribution to the event. According to Varejes, Harvey is an intelligent and dynamic woman who can accomplish whatever she sets her mind to. Varejes restated the impact the SleepOut™ experience had on participants. Harvey thanked Varejes and Richmark for the nomination and for their valuable support.
